Monuments of Man

Mural Art copyright Community Cultural Arts Organization.

Pictured above is one of two connecting mini-murals set between the larger primary murals titled "The Monuments of Man" designed and painted by Alex Rubio and myself in 1989 at the Mirasol Courts while working for the Community Cultural Arts Organization. The housing project underwent a major renovation a few years ago but the murals were not preserved. Below are the three primary murals.

Here are some illustrations for a series of posters advertising the 2009 season for the Alamo City Rollergirls. The layout and text were added later by their layout artist. My contribution was the image of the rollergirls.

Milagro de Monterrey Cover Art

This is the cover art for the Miracle of Monterrey/El Milagro de Monterrey, a picture book published by Raining Popcorn Media. It was my first go at illustrating a book both inside and out that got published. Before this book, there was a fiction book that was a time travel/dinosaur adventure story that got as far as finishing the interior illustrations and then the party was over. So, I was more than a little excited when The Miracle of Monterrey book went to the printers. To purchase a copy of the book from Raining Popcorn media click on this link: http://www.rainingpopcorn.com/

Black and White Monsters!

Flood Mural

Noah's Ark Mural. 8'x 23'. Cathedral of Hope. Click on the image for a larger view.

This is a mural designed by Dan Peeler that I painted in 2002 in Dallas for the Cathedral of Hope for their children's activity room. Dan did pencil sketch but let me select the palette and in general gave me a lot of creative leg room in my approach to his idea.
